ACR+ is back with its monthly webinar series in March 2017! The most recent webinar took place on 31 March 2017 at 10:30 (Brussels time).
Draft Programme
The webinar focused on the challenges faced by touristic areas on material resource management and circular economy: seasonality, geographical constraints (islands, heritage areas) and unsustainable consumption patterns. In addition, three projects ACR+ is currently working on were presented:
- INTHERWASTE which aims to foster the exchange of experience and polices for efficient and sustainable waste management in European Heritage Cities.
- URBAN-WASTE which endeavours to support policy makers in answering to the challenges of booming tourism in European cities, including high levels of unsustainable resource consumption and waste production.
- BLUE ISLANDS which aims to properly identify, address and mitigate the effects of the seasonal variation of waste generation on Mediterranean islands as an effect of tourism.
