Zero Waste Scotland | Ditching disposable cups – applications open for reusable cups

Applications are now open for organisations interested in starting or enhancing a reusable cup scheme. Zero Waste Scotland is offering “Ditching Disposables” branded cups to help organisations reduce the use of single-use cups. Research shows strong public support for tackling the "cups crisis", with 388.7 million disposable cups used annually in Scotland. By offering a reusable cup system, where customers can borrow and return cups, Scottish organisation can contribute to reducing waste.

To apply, participants must complete an online form and outline their plan for reducing single-use cups. Successful applicants will need to provide regular updates on their progress, including the number of single-use cups displaced.
