Belfast City Council | Belfast Repair Week supports residents to repair and reuse

Belfast Repair Week, held from 3 to 9 March, encouraged residents to embrace repairing and reusing through free workshops and events. Organised by Belfast City Council in collaboration with ReLondon, the initiative aimed to teach valuable skills, reduce waste, and promote sustainability. Activities included repair workshops, discussions, and hands-on sessions, allowing individuals to fix items instead of discarding them, ultimately cutting carbon emissions and minimising landfill waste. The week featured events such as the Monday Mendathon (session where attendees learned repair techniques with the help of experts), fashion repair webinars, furniture restoration sessions, and bike maintenance workshops across various locations.
