Region Sud | Key deliverables from the LIFE IP Smart Waste Project now available online

Region Sud has gathered and made available online several key deliverables from the LIFE IP Smart Waste project, which aimed to develop territorial dynamics to implement and enhance the efficiency of departmental waste management plans.

The project focused on fostering a circular economy and concluded successfully last year. To achieve its objectives, the project developed five key areas: supporting technical and social innovation across waste collection, treatment, and recycling sectors; strengthening and adapting local equipment to improve waste recovery rates; enhancing the skills of waste management professionals in local authorities and businesses; implementing prevention, awareness, and information campaigns on proper waste management; and encouraging the exchange and sharing of best practices.
