The North London Community Fund by NLWA is offering GBP 150 000 (EUR 179 520) in grants for waste prevention projects run by grassroots organizations. In its eighth year, the fund will provide grants of up to GBP 15 000 (17 952) to non-profit groups working to either introduce new waste prevention initiatives or expand existing ones. The aim is to promote community engagement, sustainability education, and ultimately reduce household waste in North London.
Since its launch in 2017, the fund has awarded over GBP 620 000 (EUR 742 016) to 59 projects. This year, the fund introduces a tiered approach, with an additional GBP 200 000 (EUR 239 360) available for two larger projects that span two years. The application deadline is 18 December 2024, with two webinars scheduled to assist applicants.
