ACR+ member AMIU has launched a new communication campaign aimed at promoting glass recycling in the city of Genova, under the slogan “Vetro da riciclare, Genova da conservare” (Glass to recycle, Genova to preserve). The project aims to raise awareness among Genovese citizens about the benefits of proper glass recycling. While the city has over 2 200 glass collection points and 4 200 bins, between 5 000 and 6 000 tonnes of glass still end up in general waste every year, according to AMIU's product analyses. The campaign was designed with a set of actions aimed at informing and raising awareness among citizens about the correct management of this type of material, which can be recycled indefinitely. The campaign will use a mix of communication initiatives, including advertising in newspapers and online, social media campaigns with influencers, newsletters, infographics, podcasts, and school meetings to promote eco-friendly behavior.
