The Association of Cities and Regions for sustainable Resource management is recruiting a Project officer to start as soon as possible.

Key Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day management of EU funded projects, including among others the following tasks: technical inputs and research activities, communication and dissemination activities, financial reporting;
  • Support and technical assistance activities dedicated to the members of the ACR+ network, including among others the following tasks: day-to-day communications and follow-up to specific requests coming from members; identifying calls and building partnerships to submit project proposals under EU direct funds on topics of interest to the members of the ACR+ network;
  • Representing ACR+ in conferences and international meetings linked to EU funded projects;
  • Support to research studies and publications on specific topics related to the different aspects of material resource management and circular economy;
  • Follow-up of European policy and technical developments in ACR+ thematic fields.

Qualifications, skills, experience: 

  • Education: scientific or economic background (university degree or equivalent) with relevant knowledge regarding European Environmental/Resources policy;
  • 2-3 years successful relevant professional experience in the field of sustainable resources management is an asset;
  • Experience in the management of international and/or EU funded projects, in particular EU direct funds (such as H2020, Interreg, Erasmus+, LIFE, Europaid) is an asset;
  • Languages: perfectly fluent in English (native speaker or equivalent), any other language an asset;
  • Excellent drafting and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work in team;
  • Autonomous, multitask, stress-resistant and organised person;
  • Strong interest for the development of resource management expertise at the level of local and regional authorities.

Terms and conditions:

  • Place of work: ACR+ Brussels secretariat, Brussels, Belgium. Frequent short trips abroad may be required as part of the management of EU-funded projects;
  • Full time job under a 6-month contract, renewable into indefinite; economic conditions are defined according to the candidate's level of seniority and experience.
