The Association of Cities and Regions for sustainable Resource management (ACR+) is looking for a Project Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing activities under the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative’s Coordination & Support Office (CCRI-CSO) within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. The candidate will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders (mainly local and regional public authorities, research centers), clients (European Commission), and project team members.

Key Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Research on circular economy/sustainable resource management policies and practices within and outside the ACR+ network to establish benchmark data;
  • Organization and chairing of webinars and workshops;
  • Prepare key written outputs, such as contractual reports, methodological concepts and frameworks, policy papers, analytical/evaluative pieces and other key documents requested by the client;
  • Prepare/oversee and quality assure written outputs produced by other team members and experts, such as event reports, toolkits, guidance notes, background papers, good practice fiches, evaluations, ad-hoc studies, etc.;
  • Implement/oversee and provide quality assurance to key activities and deliverables, including: organization of meetings and events; management of helpdesk and secretariat services.

 

Qualifications, skills, experience:

  • Master’s degree level in environmental policy, science, engineering, law, economics, or a closely related subject;
  • Previous knowledge of circular economy: EU normative framework and action plans, policy development and implementation, evaluation of technical and policy measures, cost-benefit analysis, data collection, validation and analysis;
  • Consolidated experience in the management of international and/or EU funded projects;
  • Relevant professional experience of at least 5 years. Experience in EU Institutions (traineeship or contracts), and/or experience in international working environments such as NGOs and research centers is an added value;
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills in English - additional European languages an advantage.

 

Terms and conditions:

Place of work: ACR+ Brussels Secretariat. Short trips abroad will be required. The vacancy is for a full-time position, and we also consider applications from VAT-registered professionals. Economic conditions are defined according to the candidate's level of seniority and experience.
