Government of Navarra | Support for the circular economy project on sustainable insulation production

The Government of Navarra's Minister of Industry and Ecological and Digital Business Transition visited the circular economy project of 'Aislanat', a company that uses recycled newspapers to produce eco-friendly cellulose insulation. The initiative uses 85% recycled materials, is locally sourced, and has short transport distances, reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.

The new Industry and Business Promotion Law in Navarra aims to support companies in transitioning to a circular economy. 'Aislanat' received grants totaling EUR 69 929 between 2016 and 2022. Since 2020, it has been part of Navarra's circular economy business catalog. In September 2023, a circular economy diagnosis confirmed that Aislanat’s business model aligns with circular economy principles. Its product, made from recycled newspapers, promotes sustainable construction by reducing waste.
