Bruxelles-Propreté | The Recypark Mobiles are back and celebrating their tenth anniversary
Bruxelles-Propreté has started the 2025 edition of the Recypark Mobile waste collection service, which will visit 14 municipalities in Brussels until 27 June. After 10 years, for the first time, more than half of the participating municipalities will partner with social economy organisations to give a second life to the items brought by residents.
Launched in 2015, the mobile service aims to collect waste close to citizens, ensure efficient disposal, and prevent illegal dumping. Over the past decade, Bruxelles-Propreté has removed over 14 000 tonnes of bulky waste, recycled more than 1 700 tonnes of electronic waste, and prevented over 1 000 tonnes of hazardous household waste from polluting the environment. This year, the Recypark Mobiles will also focus on reusing items, collecting furniture, textiles, small electronics, and more for second-hand use, with the support of social economy actors.
