The MINEV project brought together experts, stakeholders, and enthusiasts to tackle waste challenges at major events in The Metropolitan City of Bologna. The city successfully hosted a Workshop for Exchange of Experiences and a study visit. As the advisory partner, ACR+ led the workshop, where partners shared best practices in waste minimisation for significant events. The session covered various event categories, including big sports events, religious events, and traveling events. Examples included the Davis Cup in Malaga, Krakow Marathon, waste prevention at King Baldwin Stadium in Brussels, Holy Week in Malaga, Franciscan Festival in Bologna, and the Pope's visit to Lisbon for World Youth Day.

In July, MINEV partners will travel to Klaipeda, Lithuania, for another Workshop for Exchange of Experiences, coinciding with the famous Sea Festival. This time, the topic will be “Waste minimisation in big fun and indoor and outdoor leisure events (music and other cultural festivals).”

In recent months, MINEV has launched its first newsletter and published an introductory video in six languages. Subscribe to MINEV contact list to stay updated and not miss out on anything!
