On 25 to 26 February 2019, the side event 'Industrial Symbiosis in Europe' will take place alongside the World Resources Forum 2019 ‘Closing Loops - Transitions at work’, in Antwerp, Belgium. Organised by ACR+ member OVAM, the side event will be en opportunity for 9 EU funded projects to present their results; among them will be URBANREC and FISSAC.
On 25 February, the FISSAC project presented its Industrial Symbiosis Platform. This platform connects facilities, symbiosis experts, government representatives, and consultants under one roof to successfully create symbiosis networks. Flexible production and facility modelling, LCA, LCC and many KPI based analysis, as well as marketplace are some of the key features of the platform.
On 26 February, ACR+ member OVAM's team presented the added value of the use of their regional symbiosis platform for providers of new technologies in a session dedicated to industrial symbiosis in the URBANREC project.
The programme is available online. There is a special reduced fee for Local Government representatives participating in the World Resource Forum. For non-local governments, there was also a special fee if they register to the side event on industrial symbiosis: attendees should use the link "Registration for Workshop speaker" and mention H2020 in the fields 'full title of the workshop' and 'organiser of the workshop'.
