Wrap

In collaboration with London Sustainable Development Commission, Greater London Authority and London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB), ACR+ member WRAP has published a report: Employment and the  circular economy: Job creation through  resource efficiency in London.

The report explores and analyses three scenarios and the effect that they would have on the London job market. The first scenario assumes no new initiatives, the second a continuation of the current development path with some expansion of circular economy and the third a ‘transformative’ scenario in which an extensive expansion of circular economy takes place. The report concludes that a transition to a more circular economy will make a significant contribution to London employment levels by; creating new jobs, lasting reductions in unemployment levels and driving resource efficiency.
