Key measures of the French Anti-Waste and Circular Economy Law, the prevention and eco-design plans have challenged businesses' strategies to reduce the environmental impact of their activities. Since their launch in 2020, CITEO and Adelphe (a subsidiary organisation of CITEO whose mission is to reduce the environmental impact of packaging) have supported their clients in implementing these roadmaps to better reduce, reuse and recycle packaging and paper. A preliminary assessment demonstrates companies' commitment: 20 000 companies supported in their 3R strategy; more than 3.6 million tonnes of household packaging and graphic papers impacted by this assistance; and 17 common and sectoral plans developed with professional organisations providing recommendations for 100% of packaging and paper marketing.
