ACR+ member Zero Waste Scotland, together with VisitScotland, is supporting a four-week initiative to help busy small and medium-sized food service settings protect their bottom line and kick food waste out of the kitchen for good. The first week is all about getting to grips with their organisation’s current food waste status. This is the time to gather the data that participants already have, to get an accurate idea of their starting point. The second week involves measuring their waste to get a better picture of the food waste generated in participants facilities, where it is generated, the amount, and why. The third week is for analysing the results from waste measurement, discussing the potential causes and sharing with the wider organisation. On the fourth week, participants will develop an action plan.
