Thanks to feedback from 651 local authorities, ACR+ member CITEO was able to draw up an inventory of the costs and performance of separate collection in France. The information gathered allowed them to highlight the main disparities, in terms of performance, refusal rates and costs of separate collection and sorting. The analysis has identified 5 lessons to sort more and recycle better, such as adapting collection methods to regional specificities; or assessing the sizing of the collection service and rejection rates to optimise costs.
