In order to help Walloon restaurant owners to fight more effectively against food losses, ACR+ member Wallonia has decided to support the Horeca Wallonia Federation in setting up digitalised "food loss and waste" audits in its establishments. The grant will be used to carry out audits in 80 voluntary pilot establishments in Wallonia. The audits will make it possible to raise awareness, inform on waste management and move towards "Zero Waste"; measure the amount of food waste produced and its cost for the establishments; and have a better knowledge and a follow-up of the food losses and wastage of the sector.
