Becoming a member: a few easy steps

All you have to do to become an ACR+ member is to follow these easy steps:

  • Fill in the online membership form or ask the Secretariat (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) a Word version. Please note that Invited members have to fill in a different form.
  • Upon receipt of the membership form, we will send you an invoice.
  • Upon payment of the invoice, you will receive your new member package.
  • Enjoy your membership!

Membership categories

  • Effective members: local, regional or national public authorities dealing with sustainable resources management. Effective members take part in the General Assembly with voting rights.
  • Partner members: any organisation which is not a local, regional or national authority. This includes: NGO's, academic institute or scientific body, consultancy firms, professional federation, national authorities or agencies, private companies and network of local authorities. Partner members participate to ACR+ activities the same way as effective members, and support its objectives by the payment of a membership fee, but they do not have any voting right in the General Assembly.
  • Invited members: public authorities from specific countries of the South / East Mediterranean region1 invited to join ACR+ for a limited period of 3 years and benefits from all the services to the members pro-bono. Invited members would not have any voting right in the General Assembly. Interested public authorities are requested to fill in an online form or contact ACR+ Secretariat to become an Invited member.
    1 Countries of the European Neighbourhood Policy (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine*, Syria and Tunisia and to the East: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) and countries of the Enlargement Policy (Albania, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo**)
  • Supportive members: ACR+ members who would like to take an active role in the development of ACR+ and push forward the services and benefits offered by the network can become Supportive members and contribute to the network with a 10,000 € fee (yearly membership fee included). Effective members:
  • Less than 50,000 inh.: 690 €
  • Between 50,000 and 100,000 inh.: 1,380 €
  • Between 100,000 and 500,000 inh.: 2,070 €
  • Between 500,000 and 2 M° inh.: 2,770 €
  • More than 2 M° inh.: 3,460 €
  • National authorities or agencies: 4,150 €
  • Networks of local authorities less than 2 million inh.: 3,460 €
  • Networks of local authorities over 2 million inh.: 6,930 €
Partner members:
  • NGO's: 275 €
  • Academic institute or scientific body: 275 €
  • Social utility companies: 275 €
  • Consultancy firms - micro-sized***: 1,380 €
  • Consultancy firms - small-sized***: 3,460 €
  • Consultancy firms - medium-sized***: 6,600 €
  • Professional Federation: 4,150 €
  • Private companies: 6,930 €

 

* This designation shall not be construed as recognition of a State of Palestine and is without prejudice to the individual positions of the European Union Member States on this issue.
**This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.

ACR+ organises webinars, conferences and seminars across Europe on topical issues relating to material resource management that its members can join for free.

Members have access to an international network of regional and local authorities, organisations and experts involved in urban waste management across Europe.

Members have the opportunity to exchange information and experiences with leaders in management of various types of waste (packaging, organic waste, bulky waste, electric equipment, hazardous waste, tyres and more!).

ACR+ reports examine in depth various aspects and issues concerning municipal waste management.

To keep its members regularly updated with the latest developments in the world of material resource management ACR+ has developed :

ACR+ offers its members opportunities to increase their visibility as well as help them with the dissemination of their projects.

Members gain the opportunity to be involved in studies and international projects on waste prevention, recycling or North-South cooperation.

 

EU European policies

Stay in close contact with the latest developments of waste and resource policies at the European level, having the possibility to express views in the discussions and decision processes.

Through its activities, ACR+ strives to develop the expertise and skills of public authorities in effective waste-product-resource policies, as well as encourage practical action. The association provides support to regional and local authorities in their new challenges and promotes cooperation and partnership to develop eco-efficient solutions.

Throughout its many projects and campaigns, ACR+ has developed several tools to support local and regional authorities in their transition towards the circular economy. Currently, ACR+ brings its expertise in five main working areas:
