The Mayor of ACR+ member Sofia Municipality has announced the introduction of an automated waste collection and disposal system. A total of 99 bins are being deployed, which will replace the more than 280 household waste bins used until now. The new bins take up less space and have a larger volume, instead of 1 100 they have more than 3 700 litres. With the new system, waste collection and transport activities are fully automated and carried out by special vehicles with an installed crane device.
