ACR+ member LIPOR, Porto Ambiente and the Porto Academic Federation (FAP) joined forces for recycling at the "Queima das Fitas" (Portuguese for "Burning of the Ribbons") event in Porto, an important traditional May festival for students at some important Portuguese universities that precedes the last exams of the school year. Through collaborative efforts in awareness-raising, monitoring, and the installation of separate waste containers, 68% of the generated waste was successfully recycled, including 17 tonnes of glass. A dedicated team of environmental volunteers worked to ensure proper waste management and educate all participants.
