Plan Air Climat Energie 2030 (PACE 2030) is the action plan that ACR+ member Wallonia has designed to fight climate change. It is the roadmap to achieve its 2030 target of reducing GHG emissions by -55% compared to 1990, doubling renewable energy by 2030 and improving air quality. The plan aims atimproving energy efficiency in buildings, increasing the share of renewable energy, and reducing fossil fuel use. It also includes measures to reduce air pollution, with the goal of meeting WHO recommendations by 2050. The plan includes initiatives for new job opportunities in the green and circular economy, renewable energy, and building renovation. Many ambitious climate initiatives and policies are already underway, such as substantial investments in bicycles and buses, the development of mobile centres and the creation of energy communities.
