ACR+ member ORDIF published a report on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) collection in the Île de France region, in 2020. For that year, collection reached over 86 000 tonnes, and this number has been continuously increasing since 2015. However, it has not yet reached half of the regulatory objective of collecting 65% of appliances placed on the market (estimated objective of approximately 180 000 tonnes). In Île de France, the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system is managed by the eco-organisations Ecosystem, Ecologic, Srelec and Soren, but the data provided by these organisations is incomplete on the treatment of this waste.
