In 2017, ACR+ member Rudologia association is celebrating 15 years anniversary. On this occasion, a discussion forum has been held on 13 October 2017. Two roundtables have been organised, focusing on: “The progress made in the waste sector over 15 years” as well as “The upcoming challenges for the waste sector in the next 15 years”. Additionally, participants and speakers were invited to visit three sites: Jura SYDOM sorting center, Trivolution (Groupe coopératif Demain), a platform where WEEE are dismantled and the municipal kitchen of the city of Lons-Le-Saunier.

Regarding the achievements of the association in the past years, it can be noted that more than 10,000 people have taken part in the trainings developed by Rudologia all across France. Moreover, the association reaches nearly 4,000 people through its monthly newsletter “Rudoflash”. At a local level, more than 350 students have graduated from the bachelor programme focusing on “Waste management and treatment”, developed by Rudologia in partnership with Univeristy of Franche-Comté.

In 2018, the association will focus on developing a digital resource centre. The tool will be designed to gather all available sectorial knowledge regarding monitoring as well as progress in the waste sector related to: policies, regulations, innovations, academic research, research and development, trainings, etc.
