The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) kicked off another intensive week of awareness-raising activities from 19 to 27 November 2022. For its 14th edition, 16,129 actions related to waste reduction, product reuse, repair, materials recycling, as well as clean-ups are being carried out across 30 countries in Europe and beyond.
Since 2017, ACR+ is proudly the European Coordinator of the EWWR campaign but also an action-developer! This year, we organised a movie screening followed by an interactive debate on the impacts of the textile industry and solutions to reduce the waste produced by this sector. Finally, participants exchanged cloths, giving them a second life. The remaining clothes will be donated to a local charity association “Le Petits Riens”, which promotes second-hand shopping and that uses the revenues to support local charity projects.
