The WES Steering Committee endorsed the project’s workplan for the coming 12 months during an online meeting held on 23 November 2020. This second meeting focused on taking stock of the project’s achievements so far and on presenting the activities that are planned for the coming period, as well as the vision of the European Commission (DG NEAR).

Some of the activities have been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, since field missions and site visits are at the core of the project spirit. However, the project consortium has successfully implemented adaptation workplan in several activities. The meeting reinforced the essential cooperation with other initiatives in the Mediterranean region, such as the ones in the frameworks of the Mediterranean Action Plan - Barcelona Convention and the Union for the Mediterranean.
