Vitrus Ambiente | Nine tonnes of coffee capsules collected in one year

Vitrus Ambiente collected 9 tonnes of coffee capsules in less than a year, with strong community support. Through a partnership with the Coffee Industrial and Commercial Association, approximately 700 000 used coffee capsules were collected. Collected capsules will be recycled, contributing to sustainability by transforming plastic or aluminum casings into everyday objects and coffee grounds into organic compost. Collection points in Guimarães, located in parish offices, supermarkets, and other establishments, facilitate capsule recycling for consumers.
