Strengthening ties with Turkey for local sustainability

On 22 November, ACR+ and Energy Cities welcomed a delegation from the Bornova Municipality in Izmir, Turkey, in Brussels. The visit, led by the Bornova Mayor, was part of a study tour aimed at exploring collaborations with networks supporting local and regional authorities in Europe. ACR+ outlined its vision, mission, and the ways it engages its members through various activities and initiatives.

During the meeting, the ACR+ Thematic Areas and ongoing projects were presented, along with the potential benefits they offer to members and wider communities. The delegation showed keen interest in opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration, opening the door to potential future partnerships between ACR+ and Bornova Municipality. The session underscored the value of fostering international cooperation to drive sustainability and innovation at the local level.
