Odense | Exchange of building materials at Havnegades recycling station

From 31 January 2025, visitors to the Havnegade recycling station in Odense can drop off or pick up reusable building materials at the new Bygge-Byttebox (building materials container). Instead of discarding valuable materials, users can exchange items like tiles, windows, and more for their DIY projects. 

Recycling guide highlights strong community interest, as many materials previously discarded are still in great condition. This initiative aims to extend material lifespans, reduce waste, and make reuse more accessible for both residents and businesses. Acceptable items include clean bricks, untreated wood, whole roof tiles, and newer doors and windows.
