The President of the Government of Navarra and the Minister of Industry, Ecological Transition, and Digital Business met with representatives from Korean companies visiting Navarra for follow-up meetings related to the BeeCycle project. BeeCycle will establish the first electric vehicle battery recycling plant in Navarra. The project involves the public company Sodena and the Navarrese firm BeePlanet, one of the main promoters of the initiative.

The President the Government of Navarra emphasised that the BeeCycle project positions Navarra as a leader in sustainable industry, promoting economic growth while addressing critical challenges in the electric mobility market. The recycling plant, scheduled to be operational by 2026, will span 31 000 square meters and involve a projected investment of EUR 18.5 million. It is expected to create around 70 jobs and process batteries from approximately 25 000 cars annually, producing up to 10 000 tonnes of black mass.
