The Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Catalan Government, along with the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC), has initiated the collection and selective management of expired or cancelled phytosanitary products from agricultural farms across Catalonia. This service, which will be itinerant through the 33 participating cooperatives, will cover the entire region of Catalonia. Each farmer will have a limit of 250 kg per delivery, and it is expected to collect more than 40 tonnes of obsolete phytosanitary products. This service aims to centralise waste management at a specific point, eliminating the need for individual collection, which is more costly and less efficient.
