ACR+ member Government of Navarra has approved the Agenda to Reduce Food Waste 2022-2027, which aims to reduce the generation of food waste in households as well as along the production chains. The main objective of the agenda is to reduce food waste per capita at retail and consumer level by 50% by 2030 compared to 2020, and to reduce food waste along production and supply chains by 20% by 2030 compared to 2020.

To achieve these objectives, the agenda stresses the importance of acquiring good habits in food planning and purchasing and proposes a series of actions such as adapting the methodological procedures for quantifying food waste in the food chain; promoting awareness-raising campaigns aimed at consumers; and integrating food waste reduction criteria in the procurement of collective catering services.
