It is now possible to earn discounts to use public transport in ACR+ member Torres Vedras by depositing plastic drinks bottles and non-reusable aluminium cans in machines installed at the Bus Terminal and at the Municipal Market. These machines are part of a system that covers all the municipalities belonging to the Oeste Intermunicipal Community, which is part of the "Oeste + Recicla" project. The aim of this deposit refund system is to increase separate collection of beverage bottles and cans in the region, as well as the quality of recycled fractions. At the same time, it is expected that the initiative will foster the use of public transport.
