As part of the energy transition law for green growth, ACR+ member Citeo, ADEME and the Grand Est region have been working together for more than a year to improve the performance of waste management in the territory. The agreement set several objectives: deploy incentive pricing, develop eco-design and advance waste sorting and recovery.

The agreement includes four key actions for more efficient waste management:

  1. 28% of the inhabitants of the Greater East Region by incentive rate in 2022;
  2. Raise awareness and strengthen business support on eco-design;
  3. Develop sorting actions to reach 75% of packaging and 65% of recycled paper by 2022;
  4. Harmonize communication and articulate partner networks.
