The URBAN-WASTE project has just launched its website that gathers news, findings and publications about the project.

The overall objective of the website is to multiplying the impact of waste management, prevention strategies and plans as project outcomes and to involve more tourist cities. The website represents also a platform to boost the cooperation among stakeholders.

The website presents the interaction between waste management and tourism practices in the 11 pilot cities and regions part of the project.  It features two knowledge bases, on urban metabolism and waste management in tourist cities and regions, which will gradually host more and more information on these two topics.

Moreover the pilot cities and regions will establish two dedicated space: the Municipality Forum and the Mutual Learning. These spaces will serve as a place to exchange practices and ideas, as well as inputs from key target groups – tourists, waste management workers and workers in the tourism sector.
