In the framework of a study conducted for our member Brussels Environment, ACR+ is exploring the topic of controlling waste collection and sorting. This encompasses all the mechanisms that are used to check whether household and assimilated waste producers properly comply with the waste regulation.

Do you have a specific way of assessing the content of sorting bins to look for impurities? Do you look at the content of residual waste bins to check the presence of recyclable or hazardous streams? Or maybe you implemented an innovative system to control illegal behaviours (illegal dumping), or control private companies to make sure that they do not use the municipal waste service if they are not allowed to do so?

We are looking forward to discovering your interesting practices. You can share your experience by getting in touch with Jean-Benoit Bel (This email address is being protected from spambots.
