A new factsheet was published on 25 March 2019 on the Circular Europe Network (CEN) database. This factsheet provides an overview of a series of sustainable dairy farm projects which have been implemented in the Province of Drenthe in the Netherlands.
 
The activities were carried out using a life cycle approach, aiming to support farmers in optimising their farming system. Overall, over 250 dairy farmers were able to maintain their income, while reducing their input of concentrates and artificial fertiliser. Nutrient recycling and improving soil biodiversity were key to the approach.
