Four years ago, under the leadership of Embuild Flanders,Circular Flanders and ACR+ member OVAM, the Green Deal Circular Construction started. It is a voluntary agreement between private partners and the Flemish government in which each participant committed to test a circular construction practice, test circular products or support others and facilitate their experiments. In its final report, it summarises the outcomes of this four-year process.

More than half of the projects in the Green Deal Circular Construction focused on building level. Not only demolition and reuse, but also new business models, legal and financial levers were explored.
