According to the latest data from ACR+ member ORDIF, construction and public works projects are the leading sources of waste in Île-de-France, generating in 2020 nearly 26 million tonnes of inert waste. Among these, excavated soil accounts for 69% of the total (17.7 million tonnes), with concrete, asphalt, and other debris also contributing. In 2020, approximately 595 facilities in Île-de-France were equipped to handle these materials, reflecting an increasing trend in waste production due to ongoing construction projects in the region. The primary disposal points within Île-de-France for inert waste are Inert Waste Storage Facilities and authorised quarries for inert waste disposal. 67% of inert waste in Ile-de-France was recovered in 2020, either in Ile-de-France or in neighbouring facilities.
