Zagreb | Installation of semi-underground containers intensifies in the city

The Zapruđe neighborhood in Zagreb is getting its first sets of semi-underground containers. Through a mini pilot project, the entire neighborhood will have containers at 14 locations. By the end of 2025, Zagreb plans to install 750 containers at 250 locations, with further expansion to 2 253 containers at 751 locations by 2027. The project, costing EUR 15 million, is funded by the city budget. Additionally, underground containers continue to be installed in the city center, with 149 already placed at 39 locations.
