ACR+ member LIPOR, has implemented the ‘Dose Certa’ (Right Portion) project with great success, and can now report that 29 catering establishments in Greater Porto are already implementing a 30% reduction in food waste produced, involving both their customers and employees.

The "Dose Certa" project aims to improve environmental practices and optimisation in restaurants, by providing, in partnership with the Portuguese Nutritionists Association, the adequate nutritional quantities for an adult. The project intends to sensitise catering establishments (restaurants, canteens) to reduce food waste, from the preparation stage to serving the client whilst combining the concepts of a balanced diet. By reducing food waste, an establishment reduces its costs and contributes to the preservation of natural resources, showing clients both a different yet sustainable option.
