ACR+ member Government of Navarra has called for EUR 310 000 in grants aimed at university centres based in Navarra to boost research, development and innovation of new applications for construction and demolition waste and excavated natural materials over the period 2023-2025. This grant is also intended to assist in the development of industrial or construction processes or products where these materials are already used, with the aim of improving their eco-design, environmental footprint or life cycle. The University of Navarra, the Public University of Navarra, and associated centres of the National Distance Education University in Tudela and Pamplona are eligible for the grants. Applications must be submitted by 30 June 2023. The subsidy comes from the Waste Fund 2023, which is made up of EUR 5 230 512 from the tax on landfill disposal and incineration of waste, and income of EUR 62 579 from fines for waste infringements imposed by the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Navarra, making a total amount of EUR 5 293 091.
