The IPSOS survey conducted by ACR+ member Reloop in March 2023 showed that the French strongly support the implementation of a deposit return scheme for beverage containers (plastic bottles, cans, cartons and reusable glass bottles). The survey found that 92% of French citizens are in favour of such a system, with the majority expressing a preference for reusable glass bottles. The survey also revealed that French citizens are motivated to participate in a deposit return scheme because of its environmental benefits and the possibility of being reimbursed for returned containers.
