After two years of implementation of the project "Clean market, shopping with pleasure" in Aver-o-Mar, Póvoa de Varzim, ACR+ member LIPOR returned to the market with another awareness raising action. It included the distribution of informative leaflets about the project as well as reusable bags in order to reduce the consumption of disposable shopping bags. This pilot project, developed in partnership with the Municipality of Póvoa de Varzim and LIPOR aims at improving waste management at the market, focusing on selective collection. In the last two years, 3.7 tonnes of plastic and metal packaging and 1.2 tonnes of paper and cardboard have been collected at the retailers.
