The Mayor of ACR+ member Zagreb presented preparatory activities related to the introduction of a new mixed municipal waste collection system that will come into force on 1 October. These activities include an information campaign and the opening of an information phoneline. The new system will follow a fair model in which the price for waste collection will be divided into a fixed and a variable part, all in accordance with the 2021 Croatian Waste Management Act. The fixed part of the price for citizens will be HRK 45 (EUR 5.98), and the remaining part of the amount will be paid by citizens buying official ZG bags of 10, 20 and 40 litres at a price of HRK 2, 4 and 8 (EUR 0.27, 0.53 and 1.06). Source: www.zagreb.hr (in Croatian)
