The Waste Consortium of ACR+ member Government of Navarra and Traperos de Emaús, a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to the selective collection, preparation for reuse and recycling of objects and materials from waste through agreements with 16 municipalities in Navarra, plan to open new spaces in Navarra this year to promote environmental awareness-raising activities. Among the environmental awareness-raising activities planned to be carried out in these joint spaces are the exhibition of second-hand clothes, the provision of tools to the public, the development of prevention and environmental workshops, reuse and climate change and the organisation of appliance and bicycle repair workshops. In 2021, Traperos de Emaús treated 12,400 tonnes of objects and materials, of which almost 82% were recovered, meaning that more than 10,000 tonnes were returned to their useful cycles.Source: www.navarra.es (in Spanish)
