ACR+ member Wallonia is committed to a dual approach of "zero waste" and circular economy. In this context, several calls for projects have been launched. Currently, the call for projects "Waste-Resources 2021-2022" is on-going. With a budget of EUR 37.5 million, this call specifically concerns the prevention of waste and its management as a resource. It is focused on eco-design; reuse and preparation for reuse; new business models such as the collaborative economy and functionality; and sorting, selective collection with a view to facilitating recycling, and pre-treatment and recovery for certain types of waste.
