On the occasion of the recent publication of the French decree on the reform of the extended producer responsibility (EPR), ACR+ member Institut National de l’Economie Circulaire publishes a new publication “The EPR, what is it? Extended producer responsibility and the AGEC law

According to the law against waste and for a circular economy (AGEC), parliamentarians are reforming EPR system in depth to better encourage the prevention of waste production at source. In addition to the extension of many existing schemes, new EPRs have been created. Thus, by 2025, no less than twenty-five product families will be concerned. In addition, the EPR system has been revised to make it more operational and transparent. Lastly, the law reforms the methods of financing the channels and clarifies their objectives.
