As part of the preparations for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, an initiative is being conducted with the WWF in the Carpentier and Ladoumègue sports centres and at Charléty stadium in ACR+ member Paris to encourage sportsmen and women to ban plastic and use reusable water bottles instead. To encourage the use of a reusable water bottle, the number of water points is increasing with signs indicating their location, "Fresh water. Go back to the source". Posters have been put up at the changing rooms with the message "A athlete's survival kit: a shirt, trainers and a water bottle". This action is part of the City of Paris' Olympic Transformations programme, one of whose ambitions is to put an end to single-use plastic by the 2024 Olympic Games.
