To preserve the waterways and the Seine, ACR+ member Normandie is installing six anti-waste nets at the outlet of the sewers. The nets are designed to hold back the waste that flows into the sewers via the rainwater collection network: plastic, aluminium, cigarette butts, foam, glass, polystyrene... Everything that we throw away or allow to be carried away by the rain and the wind without really thinking about it, and which pollutes rivers and oceans. The waste collected will be used for scientific studies. The purchase and installation of the six nets represents an investment of EUR 110,000, to which must be added the collection, cleaning and analysis of the waste, for a total budget of EUR 150,000.
