Plastic packaging accounts for 60% of the total volume of waste generated in schools in Navarra. In order to promote recycling and good environmental practices among the new generations, ACR+ member Government of Navarra and the 15 municipalities that make up the Waste Consortium of Navarre have presented their new educational programme, which this year is aimed at more than 10,000 schoolchildren and, as a novelty, will be extended to adults.

During the 2021-2022 academic year, the new educational programme will offer 500 educational workshops to more than 175 schools located in the areas of action. The contents focus on waste prevention, recycling, circular economy, reuse, composting of organic material and responsible consumption.
