The waste collection machine “Recycle to Win” installed two and a half years ago in the Póvoa de Varzim municipal market has already collected 633,541 packages, a number that corresponds to around 50 tonnes of recyclable waste and 24,600 users. The machine, installed within the scope of the “Recycle to Win” project, developed by ACR+ member LIPOR and the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim, has delivered since 2018, 5,200 discount vouchers to residents. The points received can be exchanged for discounts at the municipal market, for movie tickets, leisure tickets, metro tickets, free parking or books.
